We are excited to announce that the Homalco First Nation has acquired Way West Water Taxi and Westcoast Grizzly Bear Tours October 2023. The Homalco Nation have been stewards of the grizzly bear population in the traditional territory of Bute Inlet, operating Homalco Wildlife and Cultural Tours for over a decade. Bute Inlet’s cultural and historical significance spans thousands of years and today Homalco welcomes tours to view and learn about bears, the connection to the land and wildlife and become immersed in the beauty of Toba Inlet.
Homalco Wildlife and Cultural Tours is also very proud to announce a working agreement with the Klahoose First Nation, allowing continued bear tours to Toba Inlet, previously hosted through Westcoast Grizzly Bear Tours (Way West Water Taxi). How does this look for those who have previously booked for the 2024 season? All Tours booked through Westcoast Grizzly Bear Tours (Way West Water Taxi) for the 2024 season (Toba) will go with Homalco Wildlife and Cultural Tours in one of the state-of-the-art, 12 passenger landing craft adventure tour boats. With two vessels built in 2021, two more just built and on line for the 2024 season, guests will enjoy traveling in style to both Toba Inlet and Bute Inlet for the 2024 season.
